...in a good piece of software that would track all aspects of their training? Diet Exercise All Measurements (BF, BParts etc...) Cycles Reports to show progress and anything else that I can come up with. I am a software engineer by day and various things by night. As a means of moving from one language to another I have given myself this project to do. I am just getting started but if you are interested or have ideas of things that you would like to see in this type of application I'd love to hear about it. I am a one man programming team so things may progress slowly but it will come I assure you. I would also be looking for people to test drive in the future. So pop me a line if you are interested or have ideas. Thanks.

That sounds excellent, it would be very good to plan out progressive volume in workouts etc. Heart rate graphs when doing cardio to track increased fitness would be excellent too

I would be interested. You could also put blood work in there as an option in the cycle part or just put a place for notes so you can put those numbers in. Just an idea. Keep us informed.

If anyone wants any low level details like language and stuff like that shoot me an email and I will get into it. I kinda wanna keep this thread for the ideas and stuff like that. I am still in the planning phase and have done little coding as of yet. I am using a RAD/CDLC style so that I have a product sooner rather than later though. To answer the question above though I thought about C# or C++ but given the experience that I have had using those languages to create custom business applications I figured that VB.NET would be a hell of a lot easier given the type of functionality involved. I am also working on the installation/distribution process from day 1 to ensure maximum usability.

Well work is well underway. I don't know if there are any programmers here or not but if there is it is always good to have someone to bump logic off of. Also, UI design. So if you are up for questions let me know. You could also send me an email through my profile email address. There are also other things that I am looking for. Things like bodyfat calculation formulae etc... so if you have any input on that sort of thing it would be great. Thanks.
