| I've been doing some research online for the past month or so in an effort to find some legit info to jumpstart my ass to get in shape. I'm 30 years old -6'2" 258 lbs. with a mean gut that I can't seem to shake. I would guess I'm between 20 - 25% BF. I've been playing sports since highschool, and continue in men's league's, I also snowboard when I can - it's gotten to expensive for me to ride like I did when I taught it. I also work long hours at a desk all day. Since ripped fuel is off the market and I can't function on that all day anyway, I'm looking for alternative methods to motivate me. I need to lose weight because my knees are beat from 15years of competitive basketball and other sports. My workout schedule goes like this. I play basketball 4 times a week 1 - 2hrs. Some calf raises (to avoid ankle injuries), and some push-ups...that's about it...maybe a bike ride. I still a big mo' fo' despite all the cardio. My diet is 1 or 3 meals a day of whatever. I was chizzled like 4 years ago at 210lbs. but since marriage and an office job I've put on 40 lbs. I just started the above activity schedule and could use some solid advice on dieting. My Dad was a semi-pro power and when I hit the gym I put on weight like crazy, but I don't want to bigger which is all that happens when I hit the gym. I've been reading some of the posts and I like the encouragement go'n on so that is why I decided to join. Thanks in advance for your responses. The Uke |

| welcoem a board bro... what is your diet and workout schedual? 1 or 3 meals a day is not good :D too lose weight its through diet and cardio |

| My diet sucks - I do a slimfast for b-fast during the week, eat out for lunch if I have time for one... I usually eat chinese 2x's a week, a sub, or sandwich for lunch - no BK, McD's, or shit more that once a month. For dinner it's usually whatever the wife makes - nothing bad though just dinner. I think late night is my problem because of my affection for liquid bread a.k.a. beer but I've toned that down a lot lately in an effort to cut calories. I play ball everday for an hour wednesday through saturday and do 50 pushups a day and 50 calf raises a day in the shower. My schedule is nuts right now, so that is why its tough to monitor the eats. |
