| Ok, I can't give too many details, but the story is of a young male who gets drunk, gets pissy at his room mate and decides to throw himself down steps for attention. Well, no witnesses and the kid doesn't have a single scratch or bruise on him. Yet, he acts unconcious. Bad move...his eyelide are flickering, so I know he's faking. I try to check his pupils and he forces his eyes shut, another faking sign. I try to get him to talk, but he won't. Well, I am not for ****ing games at 2am. So, I grabbed the biggest nasal airway tube that we have and jammed it in there....oh yeah, I also forgot to lubricate it. ;) His arms go flaying and he yanks it out. Magically he's talking to me!!! It's a miracle, I saved this young man's life!! Of course, we get on the ambulance and once again he starts playing games. So, I gave him the biggest needle I can find for an IV...ahhhh, the 14g. Suprisingly, that bastard doesn't even flinch, I guess I shouldn't have told him I was going to stick him, but I didn't want to lose IV access to him flipping out again. So, just thought I'd share this. It's amazing how many people abuse the system for attention or for stupid stuff. This is why the cost of calling an ambulance is so expensive. You can thank all the people who do this stuff and don't pay their bills. |
