New here, thought I'd say hi. I've been reading your posts for a couple weeks now, and decided to buck up and join. Most everyone seems very knowledgeable on the subject. I've been wanting to change my body for a while now, been reading different articles and websites, and get so many conflicting ideas I kinda feel like a kid in a candy shop...everything sounds good until you look at the next item. Run down: female, 5' 9", chest: 34, waist 29, hips 41, weight around 140 and soft. About a year or so back I was doing Tae Bo, don't laugh, it helped me lose 35 pounds, but had to stop for serious lack of time. Now, free time, and gym available, what to do.....hmmmm...I want to get solid, you can tell where I need the most work! My stomach is flat, just needs to lose that layer of flab. Arms def need more strength. While nowhere near as exp as most others on here, am not completely new to the gym, but need a little advice on where to go from start. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

You are one of many of women that I train on a daily basis at the gym. Don't lose focus on your goals, as so many women do simply because it is hard to stick with it and some find out that they need ot actually work at the gym.

The best thing for you is to start practicing good habits in the kitchen and start hitting cardio. If you want to weight train, start with 2 days a week until you start getting really serious, then bump up to 3 days a week. Start with hitting each muscle group with 3 sets and pretty much whatever you want, then come up with a routine to follow.
