The Last Samurai I saw months ago when it was out in theatres.

I bought it recenlty and i must say this film is an epic. it has everything from anger to laugher. and yes the women will love it too.. it has a few tear jerking scenes as well. it was exciting from start to finish and i gurantee every red blooded man would enjoy this film... its the best film i have seen in years. if you haven't seen it yet... go out and rent it already...

I agree totally AB its one of the best films Ive ever seen. There's too many amazing scenes to mention.. even if you dont like tom cruise - as my gf doesnt who went to the cinema with me youll love it. Going from Algren coming on as a Winchester salesman drunk out of face to the shame and sadness his carer feels having him there to the point where Katsumoto asks him if he believes in destiny and he replies "i think a man does what he can until his destiny is revealed"... the scenes between him and 'bob' are also very funny where he asks are you a lady's man Bob lol, and the battle scenes are the best Ive seen by far even the terrible last one which is very gut wrenching

I liked the film also, but I must say some things about it. First, I found it amusing that Tom seems to know everything about the Samurai now...(sarcasm) One thing I didn't like about the movie is it is very Americanized. The fact that a white guy happens to be the last instead of one of the Japanese. You can't tell me that's not white of us.

Thats very true Shortz, if Katsumoto had lived it would have been better, though Algren saying 'ill tel you how he lived' to the emperor was pretty powerful

if algren would have died and katsumoto live, it wouldn't have been a movie... the death of the samurai had to be in the movie for it to be complete IMO

i believe its a awesome movie its ranked 2nd in my all time best it came close to being number 1 but conan the conquerer is still the supreme leader mainly because i look like him but im just a bit bigger build wise im more like the rock but anyway the movie inspired me to be the next mr universe
