Once upon a time I used gear at too early an age. I thought that it was the best thing to do, I had already gained 25lbs of muscle, and I was at a sticking point. My excuse was, I was an ectomorph and no matter how much I ate, I could never gain.
Im sure a lot of you out there have this same mentality, “my diet is perfect, my training is perfect, its gotta be my genetic peak, I need gear.”
If ive learned anything in the last 2 years since I quit using anything other than creatine, r-ala, and a multi vitamin, it was that my diet was no where near perfect, and my training was complete shit.
All you out there who want to use gear, who have the perfect diet, training etc, you better check yourself. I weigh more now, push more weight, and look better than I ever did with gear. I researched and researched and put together a program that worked for my body type, and my weights are far more now, than they ever were with gear usage.
I stopped making excuses and started eating, throw a cup of oats in a shake here, a tablespoon of olive oil there, getting all 8 meals in, instead of slacking off and only getting 5 or 6 and going to bed at a decent hour. I am stuffing myself to a point where I feel sick, but that’s what you gotta do. If you are ever hungry, you are not eating enough.
I used gear at too early an age, and luckily I only used stuff on and off for 8 monthes, and realized I was making a huge mistake. I hope that my mistakes can be some sort of a preventative measure for some of you out there who are in the same position I once was. |
