| i'm thinking of training to become you guessed it.a personal trainer.i figured.i hate my job and would love to do something i'm passionate about.anyone have any tips on good schools for this?there are so many.i talked to a gym in my area and they are impressed with my look(which shocked me cuz i'm not halfway where i wanna be) and said they will take me under their wing if i can get my certification.i'm in sc,anyone know of a good p t school here?or should i mailorder it?pretty excited to do something i love.thanks all |

| i would look into classes at a local community or tech college, you might find something there. there are so many crappy PT's out there its good to see someone who actually has a clue going into that field...good luck |

| NASM is the best certifacation out there. #1 in the nation. hard as hell to get but you will get a job anywhere |

| For the complete novice going into it, 24hr fitness offers a good starting ground. They will train you with thier own program (It's ok, but nowhere near some of the others) but they will also pay a good portion of continuing education while giving you a paycheck and bringing you customers as well. If I was to just walk into it, I would probobly work at 24hour fitness just to get my certs and then move up from there. |
