Well, I found out today that the man I worked to save his life, was also a member at my gym. One of the staff members there told me a little while ago, he had been diagnosed with an emolism(blood clot). Not sure where it was, but it doesn't matter. This man took it upon himself to "get into shape" even after finding out what he had. It was only a matter of time before the embolism got to his heart and caused a massive PE (pulminary embolism). His death was inevitable with his neglegence.

I am quite sure the doc told him that his activity should be a minimum. Treatment consists of thrombolitics, good diet and rest until further notice. Activity should be kept to walking at most. He should have known better.

tragic story

Tragic, yes, but still the result of his neglegence. I am a bit harsh at times, but I am quite sure his physician would have told him the consequences.

damn...yeah no need for activity when dealing with something as serious as that. Def. a scary thing.

Hey, this reminds me of another girl, snobby one at that, who was non compliant with her meds as a diabetic. She never took her insulin unless forced to.

By the time she was 19, she was admitted into a nursing home, blind and with a stack of medical problems as high as the 90 year olds in the home.
