I fell off the bb wagon I think about 6 weeks ago or so. That was the last time I did a leg workout. I haven't done tri's or back in 4 weeks and Ive hit chest twice since April 1st. I haven't been eating hardly at all. (less than 1500 cals a day for at least 3 weeks now). I don't know why it happened. It could be from the immense amout of stress ive been under at work lately, although I want to be careful not to make any excuses. In November I was 260lbs at 28% bf. I weigh 242 lbs tonight and im guessing somewhere between 22-24%. I hit chest tonight and my bench went from 315+ to 275 for only 5-6 reps. I lost a lot of strength ( I assume from not eating) so I have a lot of work to do now. I'm starting to eat again tomorrow so we'll see how this goes. Anywho, I needed to get all that off my chest and ask a question... Should I just jump right back into the 2300-2500 cal range with 350+ grams of protein, or do i gradually work up to that point again?

i dont know if i would go right back into 2300-2500. you might want to ease into it again. ive taken breaks like youre talking about, but they werent anywhere to that long. i noticed that i lost the strength, but then again i felt stronger at the lighter weights than how i felt when i was lifting more. the strength should come back and im guessing that you will see gains quickly. i wouldnt worry too much about it. eating a whole lotta protein probably shouldnt hurt you though.

it's actually good to take a break every now and then, maybe not as long as you took, but i always find that when i get "burned out" #1 i'm not getting a good workout anyway and #2 when i take a week or 2 off i feel great the next week going into the gym

get back on the ball and have at'er... currently I am only in the gym twice a week if im lucky... all my work goes into my diet, and cardio which i do EOD (jogging outside, biking, and swimming)

I experienced the same when my wife left. I started again this week.

maybe that break won't be so bad after all. i weighed in at 239 lbs this morning which is 23 lbs lighter than i was in november. I feel leaner than i was so ill take this opportunity to build some quality muscle and continue the cut!
