Anyone ever hear of other bodybuilders doing this????

From what I understand you can get a place to stay for about $400 bucks a month. Powder sources are easy to find and 1lb of chicken breasts costs about .35 cents. From what I have figured you can live there for 3 months on about 3k and live like a king, eating tons of meat, including a gym membership. Not to mention you don't have to worry about getting busted for cooking your shit.

I'm giving this serious thought as I know some beasts who have taken it down to mexico for six months at a time in the offseason, live in solitude and just grow grow grow...

Can anyone point out the disadvantages to this?

I could use a lifting partner, but the point is not to work and just get in your Zen growth mode. A friend moved down there for six months last year on $10k and ran Hgh at 6iu a day while running insane amounts of test. He said after about a month he pretty much knew the language and was able to work his way into the networks.

Well the idea behind it is that you go down there after winning a couple contests for the offseason with whatever money you won during the season. Since it's too expensive to live up here and get gear and have a gym membership and have gas money and, and, and... You get my point.

that's probably why Dennis James is in Thailand. I talked to a friend that went there for 3 months said it's cheap. Said you could find a place to stay for 4 dollars a night she said they were nice place on the beach. I'm sure she knew all the place because she dated a guy that lived there before she went there. Alot of countries are way cheaper then the US. Just depends if you want to live there.

For me, personally, I just want to live in solitude for a few months with a lifting partner (maybe a couple hookers here and there) and just GROW! I seem to get distracted here with my job and other things. So, maybe I'll look into Thailand, that could be promising... $4.00 a night sounds good too! Do they have chickens in Thailand??? LOL!

Amari Hotel is about 10 minutes to Universe Gym in Pattaya Thailand. J.D. pharmacy is right down the road and supposedly has every steroid known to mankind.

I'm going to get some hotel rates and figure out the cost of food. I'm sure it will be cheap as I've heard good things about the exchange of the dollar to the bac.

Anyone want to join me? Storm???

Ok, well after reading every post that I could by people living in thailand for bodybuilding purposes it looks like around $2k a month is what it's going to take to make it happen.

that's funny you said that my friend said it would cost around 3k for 2months to live it up there.... she was just talking about having a good time not training and eating like a horse. I didn't ask her anything about gear other then I told her to get me some GH but she never even looked I'm sure, but I was joking as well.

If you go make sure you check out a ping pong show. If you don't know what that is it will be the the red light district. :D

Ummm mexico is dry as a bone and if you can find it ya gonna pay for it and then ya gotta hope it is real...I don;t know of anything in mexico excprt for nutrivet and it is UG hence why it is still around..

1. Police/Government corruption. You can be "shaken" down at anytime for real or imaginary laws! I am telling you this from experience, I lived in Baja California for 3 months and have spent numerous other times down there. If you speak the language and make friends easily you shouldn't have any problems, but if screw over a female or **** with people you will not last long and you will be crossing the border broke (if you are not in jail).

Um not really they will kill you if they find certain drugs on you..Serious they will execute you if you ave like 5 or more x pills on you..Not sayin you will but my point is they will execute drug users...Yikes..

Damn! No, I don't think I'll have any kind of drugs on me but that sure as hell doesn't sound like fair play. I've been talking to Ajax, who's on some of the boards, about Thailand and from what he's been saying, there really isn't too much to worry about. Aside from bitches draining you for all your money.

Wow so many interesting things that i learn from a bbforum.. hmmm.. maybe i shoud head to mexico too.. just kidding.. part of my fam is from guatemala which is nearbt.. heck if they see me either i am kidnapped and put up for ransom.. or they just kill me on the spot.. this is so true..!!! But dunno about thailand.. looks nice there.. maybe for a visit.. :) .. good luck to you cc if u go there..

Thanks, I'm actually 99% sure I am going to go to Thailand. I'm getting towards the last few years of my bodybuilding peak and want to make the most out of it. I think the only way to do it would be to live in seclusion and go for it. Coleman is 4 inches shorter than me and competes 35lbs heavier, I don't know how much weight I can possibly put on but I have shy'd away from going too big in the past, I just feel like if I don't do this now, I may never get the opportunity again.

Well, I really do not know much about you.. but if an opportunity comes and you can grab it.. that would be the best way to go.. if u r at ur peak and want to try something new that would help.. why not go for it.. dunno if u have competed or not.. but I wish you the best of luck in your choice of going to thailand.. maybe you will add on the lbs of mass you want.. hey you never know unless you try, right? :)

I've got a few more good years in me but I got serious about bodybuilding in my late 20's. Right now I'm about 305lbs and have competed several times. My comp weight has been around 250lbs the last couple comps and I need to get that up to 275-285lbs to have a chance of getting sponsored by some of the bigger sponsors. I just would like to make a name for myself and have something to fall back on when I get out of bodybuilding.

To me, by the sounds of it you are really dedicated to bodybuilding. You are at 305 now.. wow!!! I am fairly small.. not sure if you have seen any of my pics or stats.. but you are like 3 or me... around there.. lol!!! Maybe going to Thailand will give you that extra push to get the sponsors u r looking for... You just caught my curiousity. But do not want to get too personal so I will just wish you well, do you plan to do the move soon?

the seasons coming up now and I'm about a month out from cutting back for my next show in Sept. I'm sitting at 12% BF right now and will prob go into the show around 5.5% not as low as I'd like but good enough to get noticed.

So, after this season is over I'll take whatever money I make and make the move. It's a different lifestyle but at the end of the day, I'm lovin it!

Hey, as long as you love what you are doing. And apparently you do love it lots. I love body building too... not like extremely dedicated to it.. but well devoted to the lifestyle.

It sounds like you have a great plan going for you there. How long would you stay in Thailand for? A month or two? How many years have you been competing? If I am being to personal there is no need to answer, just curious.

Nothing to worry bout.

I've been competing for about 5yrs now. I might go over there for a full year and come back for the next season. If all goes as planned I should have plenty saved up to make it a comfortable stay and come back with enough in the bank to not have to worry.

Either way, I'm going to be a disgusting pig when I get back from Thailand. I hate to speculate as I've never really ran high amounts of gear before, but I'm sure I'll make some noise when I come back to the states.

By the sounds of it, I think you probably stick out in a crowd... Hmm.. and than coming back.. I think you will be happy with the results from being secluded from everyone and just concentrate on your gear and preparing for your next competition. As for the gear, as long as you know your stuff, and how to use it.. I don't think there should be no prob.. I really don't know too much about it though.

Well all the hype of Mexico got me excited about visiting so, I went to pick up some amps and a few misc goodies. I was approached by a local federali and apparently it is no longer legal to have prescription drugs with out a doctor’s prescription. Needless to say I was forced to give them to the crooked federali and he said I was going to jail. This is somthing I do quite often with success and ease, I'm talking 12+ times

Next, I was upset because I was with someone and I didn't want problems. I told them that I wasn't going to jail and how much they needed to leave me alone. They were persistent about 40 wasn't enough, lol. Well 90 dollars later the benevolent dictator was intrigued by my generosity and assisted me in hiding the gear in a safe place in my car. The guys were calling me a criminal and the irony still has me in shock.
