good luck.. the real test is exactly the same as the practice ones off the RTA site. When i went for mine i only had to read the first 3 words of the sentence and i already knew the answer or even by the images because i preacticed the same questions so many times.

So do you guys have graduated licensing there then? I know where I live we have to have our Learners Licence for year, and you cant drive by yourself, you need somone over 25 with a full licence, then you take your Road test, and if you pass you gain "New" Drivers status...your only allowed one passenger, and you can drive by yourself. That step takes two years, and then finally at the end of the two years its another road test, and if you pass then you have your full licence, with no limitations. Anyone else have anything like this?

ours is the same as yours in some parts. we need the learners licence for 6 months and then go for the real ones. U have the real ones for 3 years with 3 points (if under 25) and then get Open licence with 12 points. its crazy. need to drive perfectly for 3 years :P if my friends are cought drag racing they would loose those 3 points and get their licence taken of them for 3 months or u have to drive very good for the entire year. btw did not go today cause i slept to much so i am goin tomorrow :P lol

yeah, we dont have quite the same amount of restriction. We get caught speeding, pay the fine, break your rules, pay the fine. Get caught racing, or with booze in your system you get suspened from driving, or lose your licence, and when you get it back you have to restart completely. So thats why we race in the back hills lol.

So you can drive by yourself now?

lol no i only got my learners. i have to drive with a person with open licence. 6 months. then i get my P's

In Victoria - (Australia) you can get your learners permit when you are 16 although you must wait until you are 18 until you can apply for your p's. Your lerners permit allows you to drive only if you have a fully licenced driver in the car (not one on their p's (probation)). Should you get your learners after the age of 18 in Victoria there is still a one year wait before you can apply for your L's. Whilst on your L's blood alcohol reading is 0.0 and on P's I think it is also 0.0. although whilst you are fully licenced it is .05.
posted by S.W.A.T.
hmm here its different. for the L's u need to be 16.6 years old. for your p's u need to be 17 (well u need to have the L's for 6 months. for Open licence u need to have the P's for 3 years. Here is Queensland, Brisbane (Australia) the alcohol thing is the same.
posted by cosmic-dust
In syd u can go for your L's as soon as you hit 16 then its 1 year of driving with someone that has their full licence for atleast 50 hours of driving over the year before you can go for your red P's. Then after another 2 years you apply for green P's, and then after another year you have full licence. Zero alcohol for all P platers aswell.

Thats insane man! all of a sudden my driving program dont look too bad

lol yeah they make it tough because the death toll rates from car accidents is high, about 60% of people fail their P's first go.
posted by MegaA
yeah but on a world wide scale we have a low death rate coz our roads are good and w are generally sensible on the roads. You should see the drivers in Greece they drive like f!@#$n idiots like alot of them are driving as if they are taking their mum to the e.r. in hospital. They have something liek double our death rate with half the population.

India has traffic problems too I've heard. Like actually no set rules of the road.
posted by MegaA
In Greece they have like a road where it is 3 lanes with no lines so people in one lane drift into other peoples lanes and coz theres no red light cameras some people sto at red lights and some people go around and in front of the people who have stopped at the red light, people waiting in front of the traffic light not behind it.

Man! That would just be friggin nuts! I couldnt do it, I'd actually snap.

And only 1 in 5 people wear helmets and hardly anybody wears seat belts and when you say to people howcome they sepeed so fast they say to you -0 ah coz this rd is good they can handle it.
