I ordered it off of ebay 2 weeks ago. Saw it for the first time, and I liked it.
It showed me a differant side of ARNOLD. Boy was he cocky, and it made me become a bigger fan of Lou.

Anyways, for those of you who haven't seen it, I recommend it.

You have to get the Pumping Iron (25th Anniversary Special Edition) it has tons of footage of Arnold not in the movie and interviews.

Lets not forget man alot of that stuff in Pumping Iron was staged man. Alot of it was set up and Arnold was told what to say along with Lou. If you ever buy the 25th year anniversary edition you will see a interview where Arnold says that he was told to say those things and that it wasn't really his words he was speaking.
For example the story that he never went to his fathers funeral coz he ws 1 week away from contest is rubbish - he was in training but wasn't close to any contest at the time and he stoile that story from somebody else.

He also says that the quote that "pumping iron is better than having sex" is rubbbish as both things are not comparable as they are two different things - two different feelings taht you can;t compare. He gets into detail as to why some things in the movie were said and why some peoples characters were manufactured and not their real self.

If you want a true heavy metal docudrama with no manufactured characters check out "The comeback" Thats a fantastic docudrama - I would even say better than pumping iron.

There is a problem with it though - 50 minutes of excellence is not enough. Should be longer.

A good friend of mine owned that gym it was filmed in he just finshed writing abook about it and it will be in bookstores pertty soon.

He owned Golds gym :confused: The book about it was written about 33 years ago :)
