Just wanted to say hello. I'm new to the fourm. Been lifting for about 6 months. Got into it and fell in love.

One question, is anyone else taking Anator P70 and what do you do to make it taste better? It has to be the absolute worst tasting supplement I've ever had.

welcome to the board... dont waste your money on those supps except for protein and food! do that and you'll be way ahead of the rest

If Jay Cutler, Johnny Jackson, Ronnie Coleman, Dennis Wolf, Dareem Charles, and Branch Warren use supplements then I don't see a reason for not trying them. I used to be anti supplement till I started using them. I cycle on and off and it seems to work great.

welcome and like a.b. said food is the best supplement... though i try to get all my protein from real food

AB didnt say that supps were bad, just that most of them are unnecessary. protein and food are really all you need to grow, if you use'm right. unless you have that part right, nothing else is going to help.

no i know... after i wrote that i just meant that protein powder is ok... i just try to get all of my protein from food and try not to use the powder.

I would try that but I'm in the Navy and most of the meals are lacking in the proper nutrition. Currently I'm taking CE2 (ester), nano vapor, anator p70, and I get about 160 g of protein a day. Most of it from powder.

Rule of thumb, in order to grow, you should be taking in 1.5-2gms of protein per body lbs.
But if thats all you have them make use of what you got. Like said, not all supps are bad, but getting more protein in your body is what you want to do.What good are the supps if you are not taking in what really makes your muscles grow.
Imagine taking in the correct amount of protein and taking those supps........what would you really look like.

Welcome the BBF bro. There is alot of great info here, just make sure you read the board rules and you will fit in here just fine.

Wow, thats alot of supps. I'd start stealing food. Im gonna have to say my favourite saying "food is the most anabolic substance in the world. So use it!" I love that one! welcome to the board. May your mouth be constantly filled with food!

Welcome- Supplements are important but I think everyone here wants to stress the importance of diet, proper training, and a solid regime/system of routines.

Welcome to the board!! There's always food around, just watch what you choose to eat. And since you're in the navy, take advantage of the commissary....you can get really good quality steaks and meat for less than you think...buy a mini grill and you're set for 3/4 of your meals!!

Yes, canni, damn egomaniacal bastard, you said it first, lol!!

Honestly, I would eat as many meals as possible on base. You could realistically eat 3-4 meals before you go home, if they don't monitor you boys. I always did. I think the biggest in the military I got was 195 from eating large amounts of those eggs, steaks, chicken, tuna salads, I think I would eat like 3 plates worth of food then go take a hot steamy one.

meal hours are from 6-7 for breakfast, 1130-1230 for lunch, adn 430-530 for dinner but i don't eat dinner on the ship unless i have to. i try to eat breakfast at home. ten egg whites if i can stomach it and maybe some yougurt with a protein shake. lunch onboard is usually all fried or baked in grease. it sucks. i stick to veggies, fruit, and pb & j for lunch. dinner is usually low in carbs, high in protein. a couple boneless, skinless chicken breasts on the grill does it for me. my wife doesn't like to eat just chicken for dinner so we may have some rice a roni or a baked potato. i stopped deep frying stuff and i quit drinking. it would be nice to eat 5 or 6 meals a day but i just don't have the schedule for that.

anyone have any thoughts on taking gulcosamine for joint pain. when i do skull crushers my right elbow hurts and lately my right shoulder has been giving me trouble. i took 3 days off and did shoulders yesterday and it didn't bother me too bad but i can tell that eventually it will start bothering me again.

I take it regularly, as well as two aspirin before every workout. But, if it keeps hurting, you might want to try doing something else...I know close grip benches will work your inner tris just as well.

Your living off of asprin to? Don't take some large amount broski just a baby asprin 81mgs if you plan to workout for the rest of your life.

All that is useless without a good diet and proper training. Eat like a mofo and you will grow like a mofo.

And Welcome :)

When my elbow or a sholder hurts i try not to do anything that will hurt them for a week. I dont think 3 days is enough as the pain might come back.
