Don't know anything about that pill, but good luck either way!
My stepdad managed to quit cold turkey after being a smoker for like 30 years straight, and he's lasted 6 months so far. So, it is possible without the nicotine patch and stuff...

Champix is the new "crutch" in quitting smoking...a little about it as i was explained by the doctor...nicotine gets into the blood stream and eventually to the brain by tagging on to the receptors giving you that satisfaction of nicotine...champix fights for those receptors by palying "musical chairs" with the nicotine usually winning the battle the receptor is therefore occupied and not letting get the craving....you smoke while your on it and ween yourself off {about a week} as the days go on the cigarettes taste like shit and it and have no desire for nicotine.. Still you have to break the habit of having somthing in your hand or what not, it's not a miracle drug and you have to want to quit. ITS MY TIME GOOD BY OLD FRIEND!

You will feel so much better when you quit. I have not had a cigarette since Saturday of last week and now feel much better when I wake up - not as tired and frustrated, not as puffed when I do exercise and not as moody.

smoking is such a nasty habit I did it for liike 8 years and quit around 3 or 4 years ago but really started feeling better a month after then it seemed like my health really picked up after that. Congrats quiting smoking is not easy bro

Way to go -- I also quit five years ago and haven't looked back.

Avoid bars if you can while you're starting out. Everyone is smoking & there's too much temptation. Unless you're in one of the poofy cities that has outlawed inside-smoking.

congrats man.good to hear.i almost gave up smoking last night.had the wife throw away all our ashtrays.we smoked our "last" butt together.then,we heard something in our friggin walls.some anaimal was caught in the wall of our house.it was moving around around and hissing.dont know if it was a snake,a raccoon or a possum.but scared the crap out of us.lol.im a city boy,i cant handle shit like this.so we banged on the wall for awhile.at the same time im holding my .38 for hrs pointed at the wall.finally we didnt hear it anymore.thik its gone.but it was enough to make us need a cigarette.so we plan on trying again next sunday morning
