Hey guys. I'm new here just surfed on yesterday. I'm new to the terms commonly used today, but old to lifting weights and working out. I'm currently 22 yrs old male, 5'5 and weigh in at about 208 lbs. my stats are: chest = 46 inches rt. bicep = 15 3/4 inches lt. bicep = 15 1/2 inches rt. forearm = 13 1/2 inches lt. forearm = 13 1/4 inches bf = no idea body tpye = android these are rough estimates, telephone wire and ruler  It's normal to be smaller on the less dominate side correct? I'm somewhat overweight, but IMO have a decent build. I'm sure I have a slight case of MD, I think thats what they call it(i'm pretty big but I think i'm smaller). I've been lifting weights for about 5 years, not heavy and not seriously. I'm trying to get down to about 140-160 lbs. I'm in no way a body builder, but I want a nice muscular look. I've been a yo-yo dieter, loss-gain-loss-gain and now i want to lose weight again. always the same cycle, lose in summer, gain in winter. I want to get serious now(one week ago), as i'm looking to lose about 30 - 40 lbs by December. Is this a realistic goal, or should I aim lower?? Currently enrolled in 24 hr fitness. My plans are to go to the gym about 4 times every other day/ week: Morning cardio(5-10 mins stretch, 15 mins jogging or 1.5-2 miles, 30 mins stair steps at heart rate of 160). Looking to advance to 2-3 miles in the next two weeks. Afternoon Lifting about 4 to 5 times a week consisting of bench(incline, decline, regular) about 120 lbs 3 sets 12 reps. dumbell curls 20 lbs warm up @10 reps one set 35-40 lbs 3 sets @ 10 reps. Military press 40lbs warm up, 1 set 10 reps, 80 - 100 lbs 2 sets 10 reps. Cross over cables, chest 50-70 lbs each arm 3 sets 10 reps. Cross over cables again but for shoulders from inside of body extended outside of body straight arm 90 degrees from body 20-30lbs 2 sets 10 reps. Lat pull 120 lbs 3 sets, 10 reps. Usually this is one routine. Supplements: Lipo 6, half bottle left and i'm not sure if i'll take anything else after I finish. Half bottle unfinished 1-tu, and vitargo CGL...bought as a package deal :banghead: As for a diet not much of one, sometimes i get food 3 times a day with apple as a snack or what ever, sometimes just two meals a day. Any contructive criticism :D or flames :fu: and tips welcomed. I'll post up a pic or two when I can get a cam. Sorry for the long post.

Used my camera phone to take these, sorry for the poor quality. As I said before, looking to lose about 40 lbs. I have some muscle definition in my arms and shoulders, and the fat is mostly in the gut area. Theres a six pack hiding there somewhere. Hopefully with in the next few months they will start showing some. Odd....can't seem to add the pictures. Anyways i'll just add the links. http://www.bbforums.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=289&stc=1 http://www.bbforums.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=290&stc=1

Welcome to the site I think 30-40 pounds in 3-4 months is pretty much. I began my diet half march and untill now I've lost 33 pounds. But you should mainly focus on your body fat, not your weight. Mine dropped from 23.5% to 12.9% And the most important thing for building muscle or losing fat is your DIET. If your diet is not proper all these hard hours in the gym are like a waste. I guess if your diet is well calculated you could lose about 25 pounds to december, I think that's not bad at all. But like I said mainly focus on your body fat percentage. Just telling what I've learned from my dieting. If you're interested I could give you the diet that I've followed but you gotta gimme your body fat%. Holla back
