Let me give you an example...last night I trained shoulders and triceps. I lifted more than before as far as working sets go on my tri's, so that's a good thing. But this morning I would expect to be very sore but alas nothing not even a ting of pain. I feel like I should hit'em again! That maybe I didn't do a good enough job. Often I can lift to failure doing 3 or 4 exersices with 4 sets of decsending reps ususally 12 (wu), 10, 10, 7, and sometimes 5-6 for a last set and after that I am not sore. I had an experenced weight trainer/ body builder tell me one time that that means it's time to raise the weight. But my w/o consist of weights that I can lift to almost failure in ten reps, I use that for my middle working sets and then raise the weight from there for my final two sets. I'll also move from exercise to exercise sometimes with little or no rest and alternate between exercises for the same body part, like close grip bench, to tricep extensions and then back to the bench, etc.

I know I've not given any specifics here as to my training but I just don't have time at the moment to add more, but will in the future. Any ideas for what I do differently, or is it that my muscles are used to the regular beating they are given. I work usualy one or two body parts per day and take one day off. My W/O usually last amount an hour.

Thank you.

pain is not a gauge of progress....so if you are not feeling it the next day, dont worry. just stick to the plan
as for changing the routine and whatnot, dont do that, just increase the weights. thats all ya gotta do...if ur getting stronger, ur getting bigger :D

Well thanks...that at least makes me feel a bit better. Since Jan. I 've gained about 10 pounds and haven't measured my bf but I don't seem to be hanging on to any fat. So sticking with the plan has been working.

thanks again.
