My barbell is attached to my ceiling for lat work, so i use dumbells for all my excercises benchpresses ect.

But when i do military presses i find it easier to raise the dumbells alternately, is this wise? or am i making a big mistake?

Each bell is loaded to 20k each, so does this mean i'm doing 40k military presses??

it's a variation..... but I'd try and work them together as much as possiable other wise if you ever switch to a barbell it will be very awkward

I am doing 'em together now.......its much harder.....but thats gotta be a good thing, , it puts a strain on my lower back, but i think i'll get used to it

Doing it with dumbells though maybe its working other muscles that the barbell don't for the following reason....

The barbell is fixed in the X axis.......military presses whilst standing require Z axis balance.........however dumbells are'nt fixed in the X axis, so therefore require balancing in the X axis as well as the Z axis.

I've tried with the barbell loaded to 40k and found it much easier than with the dumbells.........but me being me, am gonna do it the hard way and hopefully see different results.

If any1 who reads this knows more and can correct me, please do so....hate to think i could be doing myself more harm than good
