Maybe it's the increased protein in my diet or the creatine but I have been having really bad gas for the last two or three months, and I mean all time. This stuff smells bad...anyone have this problem on a high protein diet or is it the creatine. I take in about .80 to .90 grams of protein per body lb. (mostly from myoplex but also milk and poultry, and other whole food sources) and take 5 gr of creatine in the am and 5 gr at night about 30 min or so before I hit the weights. help...

Well i can relate, like after having tuna fish and then washing it down with a tall glass of milk, or in the morning eggs really get to me, I think its just the increased calorie intake that causes it though. I mean more food, more gas right? And the more stuff thats in your food the smellier its gotta be, I never farted from eatin jello and water. lol

capm.....honestly, if you are taking less than 1 gram of protein per lb of bodyweight, you will be losing weight....if you want to put on size, you should up the protein intake.....just my two CC's

Haven't gone that far yet, didn't want to do too much too soon, I have been thinking about raising that little ratio, I have recently began taking the creatine in the am at wake as I mentioned before, and come to think of it my w/o has been heavier in the last couple of months, although it's amazing what adrenaline can do!

Hey guys, thought I would reply to this. I used to work at gnc when I was younger. I used to spend hours reading up on all of the supplements we sold there. We sold a plethora of creatine products. Naturally, wanting to be better informed to sell to customers, I used to sample the various products, and see how l liked them, results etc. With me, I noticed that the powder creatine, even when dissolved into liquid always bloated me and gave me cramps, TERRIBLE Gas too. I asked a few people I knew who had used creatine what they though of it. Someone told me that they spent more on the toilet paper from side effects than the product was worth. I stopped using it for a while. Then i tried using it again. It still bloats me, makes me somewhat quesy and gassy, but I did notice some energy increases, and being that its ATP- cellular energy in its pure form, thats what it should do. I read some claims that it works like a steroid, pulling water into the muscle tissue- if they are reffering to the extreme bloat it gives, then ok, its all true then... I myself have been contemplating using it again, but I think the oral dropper types, where u put a few drops on your tongue, are the way to go. When we use the powdered forms, or pills, they go threw a much longer digestive process, which may be the cause of the cramps etc. What might be a good idea, is to see what brands of creatine our fellow forum members are using and what works and what doesn't, side effects etc, and see if we can come to some consensus and conclusions. As far as protein, I would listen to their advice- I'm on this nasty hardcore cutting diet, but one thing isn't cut- protein- even during the 3 month intense diet before a show, u only cut enough protein to maintain and not gain weight, but carbs go out the window. Make sure you get enough protein to grow. Its crucial, diet is so important. My trainer is a stickler about that. Learning alot from him. Well guys, I hope this helps.

Get rid of the milk. Many people have problems with lactose, and get stomach/ gas problems. ;) MOP
