| After 2 months of trying to ignore my shoulder injury i went to my doctor today and she recommended 2-3 weeks off from lifting with my upper body and physical therapy. I just recently started lifting back in Jan. '05 and have made some amazing gains by eating well and going to the gym 6 days a week. Will I lose these gains with 3 weeks off? The reason i've been putting off doing anything about this injury was my fear of losing all that i've worked so hard for. If i can't lift using my upper body for 3 weeks then i'll definitely be going to the gym 4-6 days a week and doing morning cardio on an empty stomach to work on my gut. Will this increase my chances of losing my gains? Should i lift with light weights. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks. |

| Hit the legs hard and do some cardio. You wont loose much in 3 weeks and it is not worth making your injury worse. I dont know what type of injury it is but what happens when you need surgery and have to take 8-12 weeks off and may not every be able to use the weight you used to use? I would take the lay off. |
