what is better, stationary bike or treadmill, either running or walking. Which one gives you more results.. and better legs.. leaner legs.. which one, for how long, 30-45mins.. 3-4 times week.. which one burns more calories.... overall..for losing weight and body fat.. does one or the other get your legs thicker.. i heard biking gets them thicker.. I do not want that. I want leaner more toned legs..

thanks..

I don't think your legs are going to become huge by using the bike unless your legs get huge from little exercise like mine. I have 29 inch legs and they are almost as long as they are around. If your doing low intensity training either exercise is good and you will lose that fat your trying to lose.

if you have one at the gym try the rolling stair master best thing for your legs, if not i would go with the treadmill at a high incline at a fast walk. i switched between that and the stair master when i was getting ready for my show. worked pretty well

As long as you are getting your heart rate up either is good. As for the legs getting bigger doing one or the other, bikers get some huge calves on them, but you have to figure they are competative riders. I don't think you'll have anything to worry about if you are worried about getting to much mass. Also keep in mind there's no such thing as spot reductions you're going to lose fat all over not just on your legs, nor will you lose more on your leg just because you are training them.

how often and how much would be good enough... for the treadmill or the bike.. how about alternating days for them.. like mon-treadmill, tues-biking... is that ok..by the way i have a manual treadmill at home.. so i place a shelf under it to incline it .. that's good..??

thanks for all your input..
