I coach college baseball and have my guys lifting four days a week doing alot of sport specific lifts. A lot of the guy want to do extra lifts. Our work out takes 45-60 minutes. Is their any problems with 18-20 year olds lifitng for more than an hour.

once u reach about an hour your glycogen stores are usually depleated so working past one hour is usually counter productive If I was coaching I'd have my players do the sport specific lifts during the season... and off season they can play around if they want to.

off season should always be streatching and mass. keep em on a 3 day routine hitting each body part 1x per week and watch them grow. Awwww, to be young again. I don't know of 1 sport where a solid, flexible frame won't help out

I agree with smallguy, let them add to their regimen during the off-season, as a matter of fact, i would even look at adding another day into it. The time for them to grow and get stronger is during the off-season and maintaining during season.-Hook Em
