I am new here and it has been two weeks since I have become physically active by means of exercising at a fitness club. I need some advice on what I need to concentrate on and improve as well as what I may be doing that can be done better or what I am not doing that could benefit me.

I work out 6 days a week. This is my workout schedule:

Days 1, 3, 5 involve 20 minute warm-up, 20 minute universal weights for the biceps, triceps, rear deltoid, pectoral followed by a 20 minute session on elliptical trainer machine.

Days 2, 6 involve 60 minutes session on elliptical trainer machine.

Day 4 involves 60 minute session on elliptical trainer machine followed by a 5 minute cool-down walk and then a 30 minute session on elliptical trainer machine.

I have averaged 5 meals a day 2.5-3 hours apart except for Dinner due to my workout. My meal schedule is as follows:

0700 Breakfast: 7 oz. Protein Shake, 24 ozs. Water
0930 Snack: 2.25 cups Cereal with 1.5 cups Skim Milk, 24 ozs. Water
1200 Lunch: 9 oz. Boneless and Skinless Baked Chicken Breast, 24 ozs. Water
1430 Snack: 7 oz. Protein Shake, 24 ozs. Water
1600 1 hour Workout
2000 Dinner:9 oz. Boneless and Skinless Baked Chicken Breast, 24 ozs. Water

Prior to this, I have only consumed 500-1000 calories and 3 bigger portion meals because I was too busy because of work and school to exercise.

I find it very hard to consume 2000 calories even now. I do know that the more frequent smaller meals throughout the day will boost your metabolism.

I could use some advice on my meal plan, exercise routine, nutritional supplements. I am currently taking Metabolift to aid in the extra boost and to keep my metabolism at a high rate and suppressing my appetite prior to my main meals. I am considering taking a Prohormone such as M1T along with 1AD to promote lean muscle mass and to minimize fat.

I want to shed the fat around my waist. My waist is currently 34 but in the evening it's 34.5. It used to be 35-35.5 prior to my routine 2 weeks ago. I weigh 162-164 lbs. which fluctuates daily.

Thanks for any help you can provide. :)

Wow, you pretty much covered everything there. LOL

Your workout; It is vital that when you start lifting weights, you should make sure you develope a balance between your muscles. Having a strong chest, helps accent a strong back. Having a strong back, accents a strong chest...get it? Same with bis and tris. Having a strong lower body also really helps with over strangth and muscle gains. The more muscle you have, the more cals you will burn at rest. There is alot of muscle to be gained in the legs...DON"T SKIP OUT!! Do a search quick for a post made by durabolin about a whole body routine that can be cycled. It is an excellent routine to start with.

Diet; You have a great start with your diet. You're obviously trying to lose some BF, so that looks good. Be sure to change it up too. You will get sick of eating the same things over and over. Remember, lean cuts of steak can is ok and don't forget about all of the benfits of fish (omega fatty acids)

Supplements; Get yourself a good multi vitamin and protien powder. That is about all you actually need. When you want to get serious about muscle gains, you can get alot of other stuff, but it's not essential.

Prohormones; Forget them. They are expensive and are garbage. They do nothing but give you zits and the gains are so minimal that you barely notice them. Anyone that tells you they got huge from PH are on real steroids.

u will lean out with all that cardio but gaining mass and doing lots of cardio don't go hand and hand, also 6 days a week is alot imo its not so much the quantity but the quality of exercise, i dont see where u incorporate any legs or back in ur routine which are the 2 biggest muscle groups in the body and the foundation of all power, biceps and triceps and rear delts three times a week is far too much imo, they are very small muscle groups and dont need so much work, try 5 days a week one body part per day per week, hit it hard and hit heavy eat clean and watch the fat melt and lean mass pack on, oh and what about abs?? didnt see any in ur routine might wanna add that in somewhere too
