So I was working my biceps today and the first exercise I did was barbell curls.....definately got no pump in my arms. I think I'm going to scratch them off my routine and replace them with something else. Usually my biceps get pumped after my first set of my first exercise, and after 4 sets of barbell curls I got nothin.

Are you for real or did walt disney draw you??

You got no pump with barbell curls.... That is probably because you are not using correct form. Incorrect form with exercises won't work the intended muscle to its full capability because you incorporate other muscles in to help out. That is why form is one of the most important things when lifting.

haha no dudes I was using perfect form, (as far as I know) kept my back straight, I even leaned against a wall after the first 2 didnt pump me up. I mean they got pumped, just no where near how pumped they usually get. Then I did some preacher curls, and BOOM they got pumped.

your really have no clue how food works do you...Pump comes for good nutrition and not this exercise ot that curl get real it is how you go inot the workout and what you have eaten...

How long are you going between sets? what weight and how many reps.

I used this bar that we have on our bench press, (not sure how much it is) and 15 lbs on each side. Did 2 sets of 9 with that, then added 2.5 lbs to each side and did 2 more sets of 7. Resting 1:30 in between sets

and yes I understand that pumps come from nutrition, but the preacher and concentration curls I did pumped me up huge, but not barbell...which reminds me, how come I can feel the stretch when I'm lifting a ton in my right arm and not much in my left. (I am right handed)

definitely switch up during spanktivision - that is a must - try not resting that long between sets. I try to keep it to 30-45 secs between sets...then again im just another stupid n00b;)

Yeah man they say that standing bi cept curls are the best exercise for bi cepts as they attack all parts of the bi cept muscles.

try doing 7's with a barbell you should deffinately feel it after that. All you do is break down the normal curl movement into thirds. start with the bottom third lifting the barbell only that much. than with no rest and do 2/3 of the ROM than no rest again go right to full ROM for a curl. You end up doing 21 reps but you should def. feel the burn
