storm, you touched on an interesting subject that i never really thought about and that's your heart growing as well while on gear. You said you only do cardio when training for a show. the rest of the time, i am assuming, you stay at a constant bf% by dieting??? Is this corrrect? Also, isn't your heart going to grow if your doing cardio with or without gear?

I believe the heart grows with or without gear when lifting weights and doing cardio.

Well yes to a degree it will grow as you grow but work it directly ie cardio you are going to make it grow much faster just as any other muscle worked dircetly would do.. Alof of the problems with enlarged heart have been coming from the old school BBers and they use to do cardio alot more then the BB of today..Yes there are some that stil do offseason cardio but most keep their BF incheck with diet.. IMO I will stick with whatI know and that is simple don;t work the heart diserctly and that will cause min growth..It will grow with you yes but I am not going to give it the chance to grow any more then needed..Makes sesne to me and I hope you...Storm

is the heart like any other muscle? what im getting at is will it only grow, put under heavy stress (to adapt) and will it atrophy after discontinuing the stress?

Yeah I guess so. Storm makes it sound like a enlarged heart is a bad thing but I would of thought having a enlarged heart was good and healthy and strong.

so it will also atrophy after reducing the stress? for example, if i am on AAS and doing cardio, it grows. Then I go off AAS and discontinue the cardio, will it atrophy?

Um it is a bad thing later on in life when you are older..Will it atrphy? Yes some but consider your heart is the most active muscle in your body so it will not atrphy like your other body muscles as you get older...Geez use your head basic human biology will tell you that.. Ever see an older bber with a shriveld up body you could tell use to be big?? Funny how he still has great calves.hmmmmm wonder why??

i understand. i just thought cuz the heart never really rests completely that maybe it wouldn't lose size or even grow as much to begin with
