I'm 24 and 160 lbs. I have a bf scale and an electronic body fat meter. The scale tells me my bf is 17% most times and the electronic meter says 20%. I look way less. I have been cutting for the last monthfrom 175. Do I need a better scale. Are callipers more accurate?http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c290/depaulshark/Picture001.jpg

hmm. 10-12% ok thats sounds more reassuring. This is the smallest I have ever been. It feels weird. Do you think I can maintain without losing muscle mass?

Bro I work for a company that imports those body fat scales - in particular I work in the customer service division answering customer queries. Therefor I am supposed to know a lot more about these than the general public or even most of our cimpany. What I can tell you about those scales is that they are a load of malakies. Don't use them - they are a gimmick and a waste of money. If you do want a good reading on your body fat either get it done at your gym or buy some callipers and get some istructions on their use on the internet.

As a example of just how dodgy those scales are - I once took a measurement and then later I stood on there with a few kilos of weight in my hand and supprisingly the bodyfat level went up by afew percentages.
