| Are crunchies the best way to go as far as loosing my stomach if so how many a day? |

| If you have access to a machine, then cable crunches are good or you could just hold plates(weights) on you chest and do regular crunches. Volume is not the key here. You really only need to do like 3 sets of 12. Form is the key. At the top of the contraction really squeeze and hold it for a couple of seconds. |

| As far as working your stomach, I would not use weights to do it. Stick with the basic things for working your stomach and mix it up. Crunches, flutter kicks, etc. But, the diet is really what gets rid of the gut. As your fat % goes down the abs will come out more and more. Doing crunches and sit ups just enhance that. |

| diet and cardio= fatloss I would have to disagree with estray, weighted crunches are for muscle building... you dont want a thick waist line so I would stick with no weight, and aim at doing reps. crunches alone will not give specific fatloss around the waist... |

| I should have worded that differently cause thats not really what I was getting at. True, doing crunches with weight will build muscle if youre a male but its so hard for females to build muscle whats a little weight gonna hurt. Also I wasnt trying to imply that crunches are going to shrink your stomach. It doesnt work like that. you cant pick spots to burn fat. like these guys said, cardio and diet will take care of that. Just tryin to point out that doin hundreds of crunches at top speed like you see people do all the time is futile when you can get good results from doing a few with real good form. Crunches wont flatten your stomach but that doesnt mean you dont need to do them. |

| i wanted to lose my stomach a while back so i started doing 500 crunches a day. it really didnt do much at all besides make them sore. so then i changed it to 3 sets of 15 perfect bicycles and 30 -60 min of cadio a day while eating pretty healthy. it was amazing the differnce it made, i was able to flatten out my stomach alot and now i have good abs. |

| I dont know if you have heard of the master cleanse.!!!!! in 10 days i was able to loose 17 pounds.4 inches off my waist.:laughing: It is a little rough.:mad: It is not for everyone but all of my friends and my wife have all had obout the same success.:thumbs: I do it once a year.it gives my body a break from the beating i put it through the rest of the year.Good luck.:) |
