| bet youre in high school... i only work a bodypart once a week unless im on...then i work a bodypart twice if i feel i need to work on it. |

| To build muscle or strength, the range is typically 4 - 10. With the lower end of that being more for strength, and the upper end being more for muscle building -- perhaps beginning to get into muscle endurance. Alot of it depends on you personally, and your regime. Alot of people find 6 - 8 reps to be the sweetspot for muscle growth. Several people (including myself) press 2-3 times a week. But we do full body workouts, which you may not be interested in. I would guess that most beginners do what I did, which is take a weight they can lift 6 times and use that until they could do 10 *strict* reps. Then increase the weight, which will drop the number of reps back down to 4-6. |
