Firstly I'd like to say hello to everyone. My name is Chaz, I'm new to these forums and generaly new to body building. I'm not new to physical training however; I have followed mixed martial arts routine for roughly four years now. Kickboxing, boxing, and medium weight high repetition resistance training have been my gig. I'm 21, 5'6 154lbs pretty solid. Recently Ive decided incorporate more serious body building so I thought I'd take lessons from the guys who do this sort of thing.
I would like to build my physique all around but not so far as to hinder my speed or balance by much. I'm thinking I will take a period of time to cut down any excess body fat I may have and then start to add functional muscle mass. I generaly plan to stay around the same weight and would like to be a little more cut. Im not entirely sure what my protein intake should be because I've always focused more on performance than building muscle mass. I have a clean diet but I dont really know what I should and should not consume in order to get more cut aside from the obvious "no no's". If you guys can offer any advice for the cutting down and building up process I'd be incredibly thankful. Once again, a kind greetings to everyone and Im glad to be a part of the group.
