Whats up guys. I'm absolutley new to body building, so I know absolutley nothing about what I need to do, how much, how often, ect.. I'm 23 yrs old. 5'8, 150lbs. I already have a decent muscle tone, without too much body fat. I'm mainly looking to develop my arms, chest and abs. Given this info, what would you guys recommend for a workout routine? I know there is another forum for what to eat and nutrition, but any advice there would be helpful also. Thanks.

nobody else replied so i decided to help u.

All i can say is first start of normal, then in a week start lifting more heavy, and again and again. then after that wait 4 weeks and do the same.

when u walk in the gym start of heavy and 2 sets with heavy, as u do machine come back to the one u done before as heavy lower the weight and lift again.

dont know if u can understand my english but atleast i tried.
hope it helps.
now we wait for the pros to help u.

Well, you cant just develop your arms chest and abs. You need to do everything. Take that as the most serious advice.

Try a simple routine like:

Mon -- Chest/Bis
Tues -- Back-- Tris
Wed -- Shoulders
Thurs -- Legs
Fri -- off

or mix it up with days rest in between. You can also mix up the bis and tris with different body parts.

Whats your diet like.

Ok, thanks. How many reps and sets should I be doing? What are some good back exercises? Like I said, I know nothing right now. I'm trying to learn though. My diet usually consist of eggs in the morining.. then usually a full coarse meal in the afternoon, with snacks in between. I should eat alot of meat, right? What about carbs... and vegitables?

Search through some of the other posts. There's a lot here about diet and training. I posted one in the training section called Basic mass/size routine. Read up to get some ideas then narrow it down with questions.

Ok, thanks for the workout routine. One question, as far as the reps go, should I add enough weight that only allows me to do that many reps at one time? Or should I keep it kinda light weight?

Start out a little on the light side until you get your form right. Progressively work up to heavier weights until you are near failure at your goal rep. Without a spotter, don't try to go to complete failure.
The main thing for a beginner is learn to do the exercise right with perfect form, don't lurch around like a retard trying to heave heavy weights. You will get strong much faster doing it right.

Is it true that less weights/more reps build up mass, while more weight/less reps cut you in?

more or less reps dont cut you. you just work at a higher intensity and it burns more calories. heavy weight builds size. work your way up cuz if you go heavy you'll have all kinds of trouble with your joints and ligiments

Bump that.
