I'm on my first week of my 'proper' workout routine. I done legs yesterday, and I feel like a newborn Bambi. I can barely walk!! Today I done chest and bis.. and I can tell that I'm gonna be sore from that too. After you do the same routine for awhile, should you continue to get sore every week from each workout, or should it go away. I know this probably seems like a stupid question to most of you, but I wanna know if I'm doing it right.

You're so sore you had to post it twice? Embrace the pain, love the pain. I'm sore almost every day, but it's not nearly as bad as when you first start. It'll get better, it won't be so crippling. Maybe take it a little easier on yourself for the first 3-4 weeks then work up to doin it harder.

It depends. If you do continue to get that sore for the next several weeks, increase frequency. I know its counterintuitive, but its your CNS triggering the soreness. Your CNS needs to be trained more frequently to allow it to adapt to the movement. Here is the good news: soreness is netiher required nor even useful for muscle growth. Now the bad: your soreness is probably going to be worse tommorow. Sorry to say.

did you say you were doing chest and bi's today and you just did legs yesterday? i would say that especially after a leg workout that your central nervous system needs at least one day off to rest. you grow when your resting, not at the gym

after about 2-3 weeks of the routine your body will adjust and you will stop being so sore all the time.

next time you train put some ice on the muscles you trained that helps doms a lot, sometimes i take a ibrufin for the pain that always sorts it out

try streching after working out, and legs as a whole are half of your body, mine sometimes take 3 days to fully recover.

Just sounds like DOMS. Stretching will help.. just like my back is stuffed from deadlifts now.. all i can do is walk around like i been butt ****ed and stretch until muscles loosen up.
