is it better to lift in the morning so you can get all the protein, carbs, etc. you need throughout the day to help you recover. or at night so you can let your muscles rest for an 8 hour night of sleep?

Too much minutae. Pick what works for you. There is no *best* way for everyone. Find what works for you. Start lifting. Keep records. Compare results.

Yeah, what he said. Theoretically, you would want to lift at the time of day you are the most awake and full of energy, but most of us have jobs, school, life, etc. Lift when you can, it's much better than not at all.

I prefer to lift closer to the morning than at night. Your testosterone level is natually higher in the morning than at night and like you said, you can recover the rest of the day with the proper amount of meals and still get your 8 hours of sleep at night.

I dont think it matters. Theres 24hrs in a day anyway you slice it. I work out in the evening and still get a couple of meals in PWO but before bed. I think that my nutritional needs are being met either way.
