as the title says, how much rest between reps, 30-60 seconds? then how much between sets ? the same ? then what about between excercises ? same amount of time until i move on to next excercise?

depends on the reps 12-15 30sec 8-10 45sec-minute 6-8 1.5 minutes something like that. i always operate in the 6-8 range so i wait about a minute and a half

and to add a n00b question on to this subject: what does the rest do, help oxygen get to the muscle ? (duh)

If you want more muscle endurance you don't want as much rest and you would be doing higher reps. 4-8 reps 60-90 seconds equals bigger muscles.

its to do with using the creatin energy system. only lasts about 12 seconds before your carbohydrate system kicks in. keeping your workouts explosive is the way to gain size. so having a rest simply lest your body recooperate so that you can hit the weights hard again. little rest = endurance not power

I try not to wait less than 90 seconds between sets. I would be bettor off if I could wait 3 - 4 minutes, but my time for working out is kindof limited and I sometimes get in a hurry. I get my wind back in 60 seconds -- but that isn't waht you're waiting on to recover . . . Waiting between reps seems to miss the point. I have things to do other than be in the gym.
