I think I hear something.....ahhhhh yes, the sounds of violins playing your song. You always whine like this after leg day? Bwahahahahaha j/k

Let's see if we can't get you a bigger squat. List your leg routine. I think I can get you rolling. I am the king of making big deadlifts and squats...honest. ;)

I can squat till I puke and be fully recovered the next day. if you are becoming immobile the next day you probably not squating and working your legs often enough. I squat 2 sometimes 3 times a week and my legs and gluts seem to recover better than any other part of my body. They rarely get soar and the gains are very encouraging. Not only that but my belief is that squatting is essential in overall growth I think it is the most important lift you can do.

If you're squatting and NOT getting sore then I have to question your intensity!! I'm ALWAYS sore after a good squat day!

Breathing squats (or supersquats) is basically finding a weight that you can barely squeak out 10 reps with and do 20 reps! LOL Really, you squat with this weight and take time in between reps by taking nice long deep breaths and trying to squeeze out another rep even when you think you can't (a spotter is pretty necessary) You obviously won't get to 20 reps the first time you try this technique but after a few weeks you'll get the hang of squeezing out more reps than you should normally be able to do just by getting some more oxygen in your lungs. Do this for several weeks, eat well and watch your strenght and size GROW!

If i'm not getting soar am i doing something wrong? After my squat wkouts I can barely walk but the next day I fell 100%.Big red after 10 reps of max lbs on breathing squats my legs start to sorta buckle together when I become fatigued as I push the weight up is this acceptable form?

If you're 100% the next then I envy you!! You must have a great recovery, (you must be alot younger than I am too!! my excuse)

As for the breathing squats, it is imperative to keep proper form. This is why a good training partner can help a workout so much. When you get fatigued, it's ok that your legs start to buckle a bit BUT you must keep your back straight, the last thing you need is a back injury. A good training partner will spot you by standing behind you and actually squatting down as you do and come up with you. What he will do is put his arms under your armpits and help guide you thru that sticking point. If you notice, there is one big sticking point that stops us from squatting more reps, so a "little" help to pass that point and you can squeak out a few more reps that you normally couldn't, and that can and will make a big difference when you're trying to add some size and strength.

Enjoy the pain!! Of all the great guys I've seen train (and I've seen quite a few in my days) they all can debate over high weight low reps and high reps low weight blah blah blah!! But the one thing they all had in common was INTENSITY !! Work your ass off!!
