looking for some ideas on what you guys do after coming back form a big lay off

I haven't seriously trained in about 6 months


just want get the body used to working again and not get injured as I get my diet back on track and get back into a routine

probalby gonna lift mon,wed, fir and do cardio tues and thurs for now

Full body for a few weeks until you build you base again then break it into the primary/secondary or opposites
Day 1. Chest/tris
day 2. Back/bis
Day 3or4. Legs
Day 4or5or6. shoulders or arms

I say four exercises, and start with 3 sets each of like 8-10 solid reps pausing on the negative to control the weight and exploding up. Then when you adjust add another exercise, after another few weeks add a set to each exercise. You will be uber strong.
