When I'm doing bicep curls... If I'm curling as much weight as I possibly can...which is actually all I'm ever lifting.. ... I have to maintain a super super super tight grip with my right hand or else I'll experience excruciating (sp) horrible mind numbing pain shoot all the way up the underside of my forearm from my wrist to my elbow. The heavier the weight, the worse the pain, and the harder I have to squeeze to keep it from happening. It's strange. As long as I'm squeezing hard enough it's a non issue..it doesn't hurt in the slightest. My left arm does not experience this. Anybody else have anything like this?

I havent experienced it but its very common i hear. Could be tendonitis of the flexor tendon. Try changing your grip on the bar, warmup properly and ice it.

yep. when ya let go it kills? its basically like a shin splint but its your forearm. wrap it up really tight and warm up good. take iboprofen and ice it 20min on and 40 off for a wee bit. keep doing that and you'll be fine

Thanks for the responses guys. Glad to hear I'm not the only one that has this happen. So far I've simply been squeezing as hard as I can and just trying to "lift through it" I'll try stretching more and using some ice as well.

i found out a lil trick with the pain for bis when ur puttin the bar down, let the bar sit on the rack for a sec, then let go, so hold on to the bar a few seconds extra so u dont shock ur tendon from heavy to nothing hope it helps a lil
