Im 39 years, 5'9 and 157 pounds, how much protien should I take. I have a hard time eating at work all day long. What I have been doing is buying the GNC 100% Whey Protein powderd drink mix wich has 31 grams per scoop. I have been working arms and chest on mon, wens and fridays pretty hard I think. I have been taking 4 scoops a day wich is only 124 grams, not enough ? Also I have stuck with the GNC brand beacues I liked the taste and was afraid to swith to a new brand, is there a better brand that will give me more grams per serving ? Sorry if this sounds like a repost but new to working out for 8 months now, thanks......

try at least 1g per body pound also stay away from GNC products, look at the cholestorol content

you dont wanna rely on protein shakes for your protein intake....meats like chicken and steak, eggs, tuna....also make sure ur not overtraining certain bodyparts

 change it up a bit on the lifting go with chest one day, skip a day do arms, skip a day do back and abbs or something dont keep working the exact same groups of muscles every time you lift. also bring your lunch with ya and pack it heavy on the meat side, like right now im sitting with 1 can of tuna - 32g protein 13oz of venison steak- 119g protein 3 chicken breasts- 105g protein brocclie and carrots plus i got some of the fish steaks in a pouch ready to tear into, and im looking to drop weight

Thats alot of protein to eat in one sitting. i know this has been talked about to death on here but 50-60g in one sitting is about ideal unless youre on gear or packing alot of LBM. The rest will just go to waste. everyone is different and the amount will vary but thats a good starting point.

trust me thats not one sitting, that will spread out all day while im at work, but im just using it as an idea on what to possibly pack, since he can only eat like one time at work but yes you are right 50-60g at once is ideal for one sitting
