Whats the main differance between ISOLATION MOVEMENTS, and POWER MOVEMENTS?

Whats the main differance?
What are pro's and con's?

I'm reading this book that has lots of differant types of exercises and noticed that my back workout consists of ISOLATION MOVEMENTS only.
Is that a big deal?
Should I incorporate some POWER MOVEMENTS into my back routine.???

Thanks for any replys

p.s. this site rocks!!!!

I've been reading that POWER MOVEMENTS are better to do for building mucsle then ISOLATION....?
Is this true?
Should I change my back workout to POWER MOVEMENTS?

i would say keep a mixture of both, dont just change everything over, you might want to in time, but for now go with an even mixture of the two

Always do both. Usually so called power movements benefit more than just one muscle group but an entire physique unlike most iso exercises to benefit what they think is only one muscle.
