Ok so I went ahead and changed my workout up. I increased the weight and decreased the reps. Now I do: Preacher curls wide grip, close grip, reverse grip 1 set of eight on each at 135 last set is generally 4-6 reps Bench press flat bench, incline bench, decline bench 1 set of 8 on each at 295 last set is generally 4-6 reps Lat pulls wide grip, close grip, wide grip. 1 set of 8 on each at 230 last set is generally 4-6 reps. I also do leg curls and extensions now that my back is really starting to feel better. Leg curls 3 sets of 10 at at 135 lbs on each leg Leg extensions are the same as leg curls. I can't quite do squats or dead lifts yet my back is still not in good enough shape. And I am going to get an exercise bike for cardio. Please please will someone tell me what to add to my upper body workout that does not require me to stand.

even if you can only do the bar with the squats and deads it will help. that is the only way it will get in shape

It is not that my back is weak :-) I just had back surgery about a month ago I have a foot long incision in my lower back. It is strong enough to do them it just hurts too bad. I just had 2 discs replaced. I start PT for it next week. What should I add to my upper body workout?

Mwf and yes that is what I lift. It takes between 1/2 and 1 hour.

It usually only takes 1/2 an hour but I have 2 small children so I get interrupted sometimes

well bro Im definatiely going to suggest that you hit the fundamental lifts but you need to let your body recovery from your surgeries.. I never suggest a full body workout all that much unless you can only lift once a week... I would split things up with your MWF workouts, legs, back/bis, chest/tris... let your body recovery and hit the main lifts... since you do not have that much time to lift much avoid excercises that are too specific...

Awesome I will try breaking up my workout then. Thanks so much. Anything I should add since I am going to break it up like that?
