on monday im starting a strenght training program, because my gym as been shut the past few weeks, why it gets new equipment installed. now is was just wondering when i do my routine which will be 3 days a week should i stick to the same exercises every week or if i done certain exercises one week for the muscle group im working on and then different exercise the next week is there any difference in doing this,or would it be a waste of time.

always switch up your exercises you do. it keeps your body guessing. definately not a waste of time and you SHOULD do it. if you keep doing the same thing week in week out your body will get used to it thus stop growing.

i wouldnt say change it every week because then you dont know if your making gains or not strength wise. I like to change up my exercises every 3 weeks. When youre looking to change your exercise you wanna try to another one with good carryover that way you use the strength youve already built on your new exercise. Another way to determine how often to change your exercise, keep a log and once your stop getting more reps and/or doing more weight then change it up and do this method again.
