Hi, Im new here and need some help

Im 25, weigh 140lbs and am slim. I want to put on muscle but dont want to get fat - or podgy - how can I do this?

I can bench only 80lbs (about 4 reps) am i weak? I can Squat about 55lbs before my legs shake. No shit im really in need of some muscle. My body looks defined tho - which is weird. So how can i get some muscle and look fuller? fast? I want to be a thundercat not a thunderpussy.

If you are for real you need to ditch the idea of gaining a little fat..Eat everything in site and train with all basic movements..You can always diet the fat off and look much better then you would if you tried to slowly gain lean body mass with no or little fat gain which is pretty damn hard to do...Storm

Gaining a little bit of fat is not a bad thing. Having a healthy BF can make you feel better, gain more strength and actually aids muscles better in recovery.

Thanks guys - I was kinda worried about gaining weight cos I didnt want a fat face - but I think Ill follow ur advice and eat well and put on a bit of fat as I work out hard, then lose the fat with cardio but keeping up the weekly weights so I dont lose too much muscle -
This site rocks man -

By the way - If I do bench presses with a really heavy weight - will that make my chest look more defined? Or do I need high reps with a lighter weight?

Thundera will be safe one day.....

Being defined is a matter of low body fat and having enough muscle to show through what body fat you have. Keep reps at 10 and under to build the most muscle. You can go as heavy as 5 reps if you like.

OK, Im going to try 5 reps now - Ive ben at around 8 with a comfy weight which is why I dont think I've been putting on any muscle/strength.
Ive had my protein shake and am going to buy myself some cheapo HEAVY weights now - thanks m8

Thundera has a new hope...
