| I separated my shoulder in mid-November. After 6 weeks, I decided that the pain had subsided enough to start weight training again. I could go through most exercises without feeling any pain whatsoever, but a couple bothered me. It was any type of flat bench press type exercise or preacher curl. I avoided them and did only incline or decline bench and other types of curls. Well its now 15 weeks later and it still hurts when I do those exercises. I miss flat bench and I feel like my pecs aren't growing as much as they used to. My question is: Will my shoulder still heal if I continue to lift weights through the pain? |

| i did the same thing. i was benching over 315lbs and it was just hurting too bad. so i had surgery and they found a bur on the bone along with lots of scar tissue. I would see if you can work around it. i wouldnt do surgery over again |
