Its my senior year this year and I wrestled 215 until one day in practice gravity got the better of me and I second degree seperated my left shoulder and ended my season. Before I got hurt I weighed in at 213 and benched 270 that was in january. Now I have no idea where my 1 rep max and I weigh about 225 and the best part about this I have a ship date in july for boot camp. I dont know if anybody here has any idea about torn shoulders and boot camp fitness but any input would great to help me rebuild myself.

Hey buddy I feel for yah, my left shoulder got seperate din Rugby and my right one I had to get surgery for dislocations. It should come back I am definately recovering, my bench while nothing to be proud of is increasing so I take what I can get. I would suggest starting with resistance bands and then starting gradual weights, very low weight. I know everyone at the gym will think your a wimp but just leave the ego at the door be smart, heal and get back in the game.

number 1- they arent going to let you ship to boot camp if you have a torn shoulder and trust me, you dont want to go to boot camp with a busted shoulder. you'll end up hurting it more and then you'll end up staying longer at boot camp and be a re tread until you can finish everything. number 2- you have plenty of time to rehab it, if you do it correctly. dont rush it!

I've had the whole dislocation and seperated shoulder injuries and ultimately surgery on my right one(still need surgery on my left). Rubberbands did wonders. Along with stretching. I still have trouble with over the head exercises but that is when your shoulder is at its most vulnerbale position. It took me over a year to recovery from surgery and maybe a month or two to recovery from seperations and dislocations. I'm stronger than ever now though. Look up Jobes exercises.
