Hi guys,

Into my forth week of training and eating right (Ive gained 3/4 of a stone!)

My 3 day split is working out quite wll so far and im definitly seeing improvements but im not sure I am doing the right chest and stomach excercises,The most fat I have is in my upper chest and stomach its not very much im by no means overweight but it is the only part of m that isnt looking as lean as I would like..

For chest im doing BP,incline dumbell press, machine flies.

For stomach im doing different weighted crunches but im not sure if they ar having great effect..

Can anyone recommend good excercises I should include or swap into my current routine..

Many Thanks

Do more cardio if your trying to cut. If your still bulking do compond exercises, if you're trying to cut then do isolated movements.

Im bulking at the moment, havent thought about cutting yet im assuming I should bulk for at least 6 months or so..Im doing very little cardio at the moment but thats deliberate..

Here are my current routines..Ive been going for 4 weeks now and have gained 3/4 of a stone so something seems to be working..

I do 3x12reps for ALL exercises adding weight each set.I generally will do my final set to fail..

My routine:

Monday: BICEPS: hammer curls,
DB curls on ball,
Standing Bench curl (not sure of the exact name its where you stand behind bench resting your tricep flat on the bench and doing dumbell curls)

BACK: deadlift (im rubbish at it and it wrecks my lower back)
dumbbell bent over row,
lat pull down,
(hyper extensions..(lying face down on mat, hand behind back relaxed, feet toes together..lifting shoulders and head up)

Wednesday: CHEST: Benchpress,
incline dumbell press,
machine flies,
TRICEPS: skull crushers,
tri pulldowns,
tri kickbacks,
bench dips.

Friday: LEGS: squats on smith,
leg press,
leg extension,
hamstring curl,
calf raises.
SHOULDERS: Arnold press,
front dumbell raises on ball,
side raises,
rear dumbell raises on ball,
Upright row

As I said above I do different ab crunches after every workout..

Thanks again for the help!

Compound exercises bulk more, makes the muscle bigger. Isolated exercises shape the muscle's, cuts them, makes them more defined.
For example's go to this site http://www.exrx.net/Lists/Directory.html
