I've been poking around in the forums for about 3-4 months now. Since Feb. of this year i started a pretty intense workout program going to the gym 6 days a week and maintaining a good diet(or so i think). I even went on Winstrol at one point to help me cut a little but i'm still not acheiving the results at the rate i'd like to.

I'm 6'3" 195 lbs. I have an average build with a slight spare tire around the waste. My goal is to get rid of the gut and gain a little size. Should i diet and do cardio like an MF'er and lose the gut and then bulk up or do i keep lifting + cardio and hope that the two even out eventually and the gut goes away but i gain some size?

My current diet looks like this

Breakfast 6am
- Granola bar

Gym 8am
- Leanbody Low-Carb protein Shake with milk and strawberries

10am
- Harvest protein bar

Lunch 1pm
- Sushi
or
- Salad
or
- Turkey wrap from subway

Dinner 6p
- Marinated vegetables
or
- Chicken/Shrimp Stir-Fry
or
Steak and peas

Before Bed 10p
- Protein Shake

I know this diet probably doesn't look that great but i'm new to the whole thing and i've been keeping with this diet since februrary. Any help tweaking my diet to acheive my goals would be greatly apprecaited. Thanks in advance.

I'm thinking cut your workout back to 4x weekly like Mon,Tues-Thurs,Friday and hit cardio on your off days for 45min to an hour. Also on your diet, I would load more protien into your morning meal.

My $.02

On the days that i lift should i not do cardio and just keep the cardio to the off days? Also, any more tips on my diet?

I don't think you should work out and do cardio. I do cardio on my off days along with abs.

Can someone please give me some more feedback on my diet? I'd like to lose my spare tire and gain some mass but i'm not sure if my diet is right for those goals. Please advise. Thanks.

The one major problem that I see is it's 1pm before you even get any real food in you. I would suggest eating some leftovers early in the morning, cutting the granola bars out of the diet (High in sugar) and get some red meat in there at least 2x/week. Go with either a nice cut filet mignon or 4% lean ground beef. Substitute protien bars in place of granola bars.

First things first, sounds like the most important thing to you is losing body fat. If this is the case, do more cardio. Try and get at least 4x/week of 45 minutes within your target heart rate (you didn't specify your age so I can't tell you what that is) and if you can stomach it, eat alot of fish. Atlantic Cod is really cheap this time of year and is loaded with protien. 1lb only has about 400 calories. Very good buy IMO.

cut out the harvest and granola bar. Eat some sort of protein, even if it is only 30g, in its place. Drop training down to 3-4 times a week. 6 days is way to much. Do 30 minutes of cardio after each training session to start. Fat loss is a long process. It will take awhile. Be patient. Many people want instant results and end up screwing themselves over because they crash diet, los muscle and end up worst then when they began. take pics if possible every 3 weeks and evaluate yourself. slowly add cardio minutes every 2 weeks.

first, you should know by poking around in here that winny does not get you cut. second, you are lifting way to many days with as little protein is in your diet, overtraining is worse than not training enough.

about your diet, what these guys said above seems like sound advice. also make sure you drinking plenty of water. try 1/2 oz. per pound of bodyweight to start and you are getting almost no fat in your diet.. i suggest your poke around some more in the diet section, other than that you are on the right track and you seem to be motivated enough to continue.. keep it up!
