| my rule is 1 gallon per gram of protein per pound u take in 1g per lb. = 1 gallon 1.5 per lb. = 1.5 gallons 2 per lb. = 2 gallons Well u get the picture |

| I've read that if you're an athlete and you take supplements and creatine then 120 ounces a day is good. |

| 120oz. is almost a gallon so that would be correct in some situations |

| Athlete is such a broad term. I am a serious lifter and i do cardio, but I don't consider myself an athlete. IMO, if you are a true athlete, you will most likely be drinking more than a gallon, possibly 2. |

| Yeah most "atheletes" who are constantly pushing their body, instead of a day centered by a hour workout, will be putting so much liquid in their body its hard to keep track. |
