| You need to post your stats. You seem to be eating enough times per day, its just NO WAY enough calories. If your 6ft tall and weight roughly 155-170lbs you should be getting between 2500 and 3000 calories per day. I would say your diet is bairly 2000. While sandwiches are good, they only have about 200 calories. Add a bagel as your bread choice for the sandwich. Thomas makes a good line of large bagels. You also need protein powder...you need to get 1 grm of protein per pound of bodyweight(at least 1.5 would be best). I would also get a weight gainer if gaining weight is a probem for you. You can make your own with oats, milk, sugar, and fruit (I never tried it) or you can buy one. I like Optimum Nutrition's Seriouss Mass. It lasts a long time if you take 1 scoop in a shake (625cal.,25g.protein,126g. carbs). Add the gainer in as 1-2 meals a day..one post workout, and another before bed or with breakfast. For your breakfast you should shoot for like 25% of total calories in that meal. So, if your eating 3000 cal a day, then your breakfast should be like 750 calories or so. $ eggs is good protien but has no carbs and not enough calories. I would shoot for a diet like this; Breakfast; 4 eggs, a bowl of Instant oatmeal (packets if a hardgainer, you can add maple syrup for more calories) meal 2 (between classes) Shake (keep it in a cooler pack in your locker, and down it) Lunch Bagel sandwich, tuna can , yogurt meal 4 (between classes) protein powder (buy a shaker from GNC or something and have the shake servings in baggies, just add water and shake. Myo Pro by EAS is the best Ive tried-choclate.) Meal 5 (pre wokout) half a scoop weight gainer meal 6 (post workout) half a scoop weigt gainer and creatine (if you have it) Dinner Meat 4-6ozs,potatoes or some other carb, vegetable Bedtime weight gainer or protein powder Good Luck |

| It really depends on his size, metabolism and stats like that. ANyhow, 5000 calories is WAY too much for somebody thats 6ft.155-170lbs.(my advice was based on) even for a hardgainer.5000 calories? maby if your 300lbs of ronnie coleman. figure out your base metabolic rate (google it) from there you need to add in activity level and metabolism (calories burned), then add in 500 or so calories for gaining. It should all be explained at whatever site you find the BMR at...maby even here. |
