I weigh about 145 and im 5'8. Im eating around 3500 if not a little more cals a day and working out real hard with creatine in my diet(which by the way is a great diet and i know my stuff) but, i ride bmx so im on my bike (cardio) a couple hours a day which burns up so many cals it keeps me from gaining. but im still not getting ripped either so i dont know what the problem is. if im not gaining muscle becuase im burning so much then i should atleast be getting more tone. does anyone have any ideas what wrong??

well how long have u been working out? It takes time, jsut stick with it and at the very least, u should become more toned over time

well to put it simply if your not loosing weight then ur not buring mroe claories than u consume

weight loss occurs when

calories bured is greater than claories consumed

so your not donig enough cardio to burn off what your eating.

Its simple math (which Im sure you know). You have to go back to the nutrition calculator and up your calories burned part. Basicly, you need to eat more calories if your on your bike riding hard everyday. Once you figure out the right number, you will gain.

Use a nutrition calculator and choose the "very active, hard exercise 4-5 times per week"...then see what it says...I will say your eating a lot of calories for your height and weight right now.

But if your not gaining, you need to add calories.
You also might want to post your diet and see what others think of it, even if you know its good.

There might be something there.

What do you mean "working out real hard". Is this just on your bike or are you lifting weights, as well?

IMO, your overtraining to get ripped. Anything over 45 minutes is only going to make you go catabolic. You said your doing 2 hours of riding a day, that is your biggest problem. I would cut your carbs out of your dinner, and switch to weight gainers instead of protein shakes. that should help a bit.
