My wife is still having problems losing last few pounds. Shes been stuck at same weght since before christmas. Shes tried everything from eating 1000 calories a day to low carb with no results. She lifts and does cardio about 3-4 times a week. Currently eating about 1200-1500 cal day. 40%protein, 40% carbs, 20%fat. 5'8" 137 lbs. Any suggestions?

she needs to do more cardio man. if she wants to lose those hard pounds she'll have to do cardio 5-6 times a week. tell her to change machines like...if shes been on the tredmill tell her to bike or olipitcal. also do it at 60-70% of her heart rate. this is coming from my fiance :)

Yeah, I was stuck too until I started really changing up my cardio.

Also,

if shes been eating right and working out for a while (like 1-2 years) and still can't lose fat, maybe you guys should talk to a doctor and get some blood work done to make sure all levels are where they need to be at.

but i'm pretty sure its just a matter of uping and changing cardio.

Hi estray,
Same probleme for my wife (but I let her decide with her trainer)... Does she shock her system with a good sheeting days in the week-end. Proteine-carb at the breakfast and one hour after post workout shake(that shake should also contain carb such as maltodextrine to refill the glycogen muscle after the training). All other meals proteine-fat. Low cardio training before breakfast with only whey proteine in the stomach 45 min before starting.
Lower carb & fat on none training days.

Supplement like glutamine in post-workout shake and before bed can help to let her stay anabolic.
Fat burner will raise a litle bit anabolisme to.
L-carnitine before cardio training & weight training should also help.

Those tips are maybe already knows but if not, that's some of mine.

Good luck.

Sorry for the spelling !!

That sounds like timed carb eating. She tried that too. I dont think shes doing enough cardio. Probably a total of 60-70 mins for the whole week.

Im wondering if shes eating enough? I upped my wifes caloric intake, made her ass get on a treadmill for 30 mins/day 3-4 days aweek and after a couple weeks, she picked back up on the losses.
