hey do you guys think it would be alrite to use about 16oz. of gatorade to replenish glycogen after working out? i usually drink the isopure mass bottled drinks or abb mass recovery. but im all out and it takes about 3 days to get more. would the gatorade cut it or no?

i drink it during a workout if i have it. studies have proved that high carb drinks, ie: gatorade, powerade do actually help with endurance. Some test subjects would do a biking program and swish water in their mouth and spit it out. they did the same with powerade and they lasted about 5 minutes longer. it has something to do with the sensor thingys in your mouth...i started to sound smart....

try fruit or fruit juice. it has a higher glycemic index and will enter the blood stream quicker. either way, aim for something high glycemic.
