Ok I am reading on this forum and other places as well.. I get mixed messages about eating cottage cheese and yogurt. Well, I am getting back on track on getting lean. Wanted some info on opinions on getting cut with consuming cottage cheese and yogurt. I have been eating egg whites and tuna for protein. But want to change it up a bit.. Don;t want my body to get used to the same foods. So I was thinking of adding Cottage cheese for breakfast and perhaps yogurt for snacks. What do you guys think of this. I was told that it adds water weight to one.. Is this true.. I think it is for me.. Should i even bother with it or just continue on with my tunafish and egg whites.. ?? I need advice.. I know there is no spot training.. just aiming for my lower body to get ripped.. i can get my upper right and mid section no prob.. so what are your opinions on cottage cheese and yogurt???

Thanks..

I always eat cottage cheese i love it, but not big on yoghurt. I dont know anything about the water weight but i havent noticed any. Definately important to have a variety in the diet, eating the same foods too consistently your body can become allergic to it and you wont utilize the nutrients efficiently.

Its a good source of natural fat but fat isn't good normally when dieting/

The body needs small amounts of fat in order to be able to absorb the nutrients that you take in, just as long as they're healthy fats and in small, controlled quantities...

Munequita, I have to say I don't think you have too much to worry about when it comes to water weight gain..I've never had that problem from either. You already know the main thing you have to watch out for is that they're the plain kind, otherwise you end up with excess carbs from the added sugars...

I'm so glad to hear you're back on track!! Been missing you around here...way to much test flying around for you to not post for so long!!

I eat both fat free or low fat cottage cheese and yogurt while cutting. For yogurt try dannon light and fit carb and sugar control only 2g sugar and 3 carbs its good stuff.
